I been looking to upgrade my rims to the m5 rims but I'm a little afraid of those rims messing up the 4x4 wheel driving on my car. I have a 2007 530xi. Is it safe to put those rims on my 530xi?
Would that cost any problem to my car...right now I have stock rims.. .? Thanks in advance for advice guys !!!,!!,!, |
It's good to run a square set up meaning you run the same size all the way around :)

You can run a staggered setup in your xi, but you have to make sure the overall diameter of the front and the rear tyres is the same. However, you can not put OEM M5 wheels in your car, because they come from a rear wheel drive E60, and their offsets are too low. They would stick out of the wheel wells. You got to find suitable wheels with higher offsets.

It'll look all wrong & weird ... 'cuz wrong offset ... it'll protrude off the fender well ... but if you are going for such funky look it'll look exactly like -> M166 wheel on xi-model
Do extensive search & read up about offset difference between xi-model & i-model then understand that is OK to use staggered setup if done correctly. GL!

Read & understand my post #4 up above again ... wrong offset for AWD model ... if you like the tires stick out off the fender look ... go for it!
