Got a 525d and want to change the oil. Now, I can get 4 litres or 8 litres but dont know how much I will ACTUALLY need to change all the oil in the car.
Does anyone know ? I read somewhere that if changing the oil filter as well, 6.75 litres.
Did a search already but couldnt find the info I was after.
Thanks!

My mate just changed the oil on his 525d and it actually took 8.5 litres and he was super careful to get the level exactly right e.g. level ground, run the engine wait ages for it to run back to the sump, check and top up....
The spec said 8.25l

The way i always do it is to add the new oil check the stick then leave it a couple of days and add again if required. I never add the total amount in the one day, 8.5 sounds slightly high.
8.3 is what i read on the halfords site for the 525d.
