My car had some plug loose in the engine compartment, so I tightened it but my engine was running. Then I noticed that engine light had come on. Restarted the car, engine light was gone but when I turn the ignition to pos 2 without starting the engine, all the lights (airbag etc) go away after a little but engine light stays on until I start the car. It seems to me that earlier also my engine light went away with other lights while ignition in pos 2 but I'm not 100% sure. So I wanted to ask should it stay on until the car is started or should it go way while ignition in pos 2? Engine is N62.

My 'service engine soon' light stays on until I start my car as well if I wait until all others go out.
