a question on bmw`s goodwill

Story time so get your sweets, drinks and sit comfortably then i will begin

When i bought my 530 d last june, upon inspection i noticed that the paint had scrubbed off around the volume control on the dvd player panel, the sales advisor piped up and said that the panel would be replaced and that parts take about 10 days to arrive from germany, ok i said and made the sale, 10 months, numerours phone calls and visits to the dealership and its still not been done.
i have been in contact with BMW uk and its now finaly being sorted, turns out a sales advisor and manager left the dealership recently.

Anybody had things go wrong and what kind of goodwill gestures did you ask for/get from BMW?

I have just emailed them with thanks and politly asked if they will fund a navi pro upgrade, too much?, im guessing they will no but hey if you dont ask.....
