My car was released for transport today (production complete) I want to track transport. I am in Austin, Texas. Which port will my car come through? Charleston? Thanks in advance.

In Austin, good question, but I think you'll be coming from Charleston. I'm in New Orleans and came through Charleston. Do a search because the times can vary but you should be on the WW line which does allow tracking. Could be at the port in Germany for 7-10 days, just depends on ship loading, another 7-10 days on the water. The car then took 7 days from landing in Charleston to arriving at my dealer, so likely 2 days in route from VPC. Being in Austin I would guess 2-3 for yours.

Sorry, enjoying some Percocets following minor surgery and didn't read your post correctly. See my revisions above.

Actually, my car was just released to the port in Europe. I am trying to figure out what ship my car will be on. It appears from the WW site that you need to know what port the ship is sailing to in the U.S.

If your car is already produced, I assume you have a VIN #. WW used to allow searches by VIN #, at least when my car was being transported.

Was it released to the port from the factory or did you do European delivery? If it's from the factory, I'm pretty sure it'll leave via the port of Bremerhaven. WW won't know about the car until it's loaded on a ship. It may take a few days before it actually sails and shows up on the WW site...

HerrRick, your car will very likely come through Charleston as did mine while enroute to Dallas. You have to make yourself believe that waiting is a good thing.

Here is the link to the WW site. Ener your VIN and you should get all of the trip details including the ship your car is booked on and when it is due to dock at all of the ports along the way. IIRC, it takes a couple of days to transport the car from Dingolfing to Bremmerhaven. IT will likely show up in the WW system in the next day or two.

Good luck with the wait.
