I was told by my SA that the reason my steering wheel jerks briefly when i initially get on the brakes is because my control arm bushings are beginning to get worn out. he said this is normal but due to heavy wheels its happening a little faster. They quoted me 4-5 hundred for the fix. My question is... Can i take this to someone other than the dealer or should i have it done by the dealer? thanks.

Anyone can replace the control arm bushings, but I would not use oem. If possible find some polyurethane bushings that will not break down like the oem rubber ones.
