Q: CPO or no CPO
#1
Hi all- I have the option of purchasing one of two BMW 5s. I'm torn between them and need some owner's opinion as it would be my first BMW purchase. Price wise they are within $300 of each other. This is a cross post if thats ok with the mods.
Car one: 2006 CPO, 40K miles, Sport, heated seats, Navi, active headlights, comfort access, jet blk/blk leather.
Car two: 2007 non-CPO, 39K miles, Sport, Navi, logic-7, Comfort seats, CWP, active headlights, parking sensors, jet blk/auburn leather.
So- is the CPO worth it? What would you get?

CPO, no questions about it....you get the extended warranty up to 100K. In addition if it's ur 1st BMW you will want to have the extra piece of mind of having warranty...you won't regret it, but u will regret not gotten option #1 CPO.

plus cpo makes sure everything is next too new, tires, brakes oil etc, for an extra 2k i believe you can get full maintnance as well as your warranty all the way to 100k, thats what i got and i love it! not to mention the dealership will bust its back to make you happy with anything else you might need! they even sent my wife a lovely bmw gift basket

I would go with the 2007 *if*:
- BMW history report has no issue
- Carfax has no issue
- Pre-purchase inspection has no issue
- Qualify for extended warranty to 100,000 miles/6 years total
I like the options on the 2007 better. CWP (heated steering wheel) and Logic7 won me over.
I would ask them why not CPO? Vehicles with issues or demo duty do not qualify for CPOs.

Non-BMW dealer. I don't think BMW would CPO a car post purchase.

Besides, depending on where you live (SoCal for me) CWP is pretty much worthless.
