The car is a 2005 BMW 525i CPO TO 100K MILES and has maint. service contract up to 100k miles as well.
Currently the car has 65k miles on it.

It's aw/auburn fully loaded, original sticker 57k
cwp (heated seats/sterring wheel)
sport (sports wheels with brand new tires on them)
prem pkg
logic 7 (wow, it's nice - okay no show sound system for good enuff for stock)
comfort seats (i love these, the best)
sunshade (roll up side, auto rear)
bluetooth
i-drive (no navigation though, the only option missing from the car).

This is a CPO car with no paint or accident history. Well maintained and looks nice.

I am selling it in the month to come or so. Is 21k reasonable for this car?

please provide me your input.

Might be a little high for 525i, but the warranty is a nice selling point

Your CPO runs out this year since your model is probably a 2004 in-service date. CPO only lasts 6 years or 100k miles from the IN-SERVICE-DATE. VERY IMPORTANT. You might "think" you have a CPO until 100k, but you really don't. Prepare to get about $15k for your car.

it's a july 05 build 2005.
Hmmm. Might end up selling it to a family member if the price is gonna be that crazy.

This is so sad.

I wouldn't let all this get you down man. I just did a quick search on autotrader.com and see cars just like your's listed for in the low 20's to upper teens. I'd stay positive about it and shoot for around $17-19,000 at a minimum. Ask for your $21,000 and take offers if they come. If they don't after a reasonable time, lower it.

there are two approaches to this selling thing - ask for all you can get and accept lower offers or price it cheap and hope someone bites. Bad thing about low balling is that then you open yourself up to the "hmmm, wonder what's wrong with it" comments.

good luck bro! I hope you get what you want and need out of it. it's a great car and sounds like your's was set up nicely from the factory too. their are many out there who would die to have such a premium car.

So then CPO ends July 2011. Still 1 year is better than nothing. But really, it will only be under warranty for another (15,000 miles I'm guessing)? Unless you're nuts like me and drive 20,000 miles a year. P.S. - If you sell privately you'll get more money. Trade-in is always low.

If you're in the states, take it to a carmax for an appraisal and add about $2-3k to that for private sales.
