you need a different cable from the ccc to the monitor than the m-ask, you also need a fan wiring harness. search the parts/accessories/mods forum for the official retrofit .pdf, that will detail the wiring changes.

I went from NO nav to professional using those instructions.

Found the pdf ( http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry508589 if anyone else needs it )
I wanted to know if I could buy the cables separate from BM without having to buy the whole kit?!

How do I do that
yes, you can buy the cables separately, these are the part #s:
61 12 0 393 735 "navigation wiring harness"
61 12 0 396 159 "retrofit wiring harness, svs" <- only need this one if you're doing the voice recognition too
61 12 0 396 722 "wiring harness, fan"

only the dealer (or a really good independent) can reprogram the CCC, as the car has to be plugged in to a computer running BMW software to do so. Good luck- sometimes even with functioning equipment the computer will say "no, you need to replace that perfectly functional monitor before I can continue."

P and Q come in the boxes for the part #s I gave you. Since my car is a US car, I already had a GPS aerial in the shark fin for the BMW Assist, so I just disconnected the cable that goes to the assist and ran a new antenna wire from there to the dash, as is shown in the retrofit PDF. Once the car is coded, the assist module is smart enough to get the GPS coordinates from the CCC instead of the GPS aerial.

the hands free microphone is necessary if you want voice recognition. if you don't, you don't need it.

You must have spoken with Jason at navtvman? He told me the same thing but he uses BMW software rather than Autologic. Have you tried turning the LVDS cable that plugs into the CCC unit the other way. I'm sure you have plugged it in wrong, thats why you have no images
