Hi guys. New here. A lot of friends of mine are having problems with their "eybrows" after different soft upgrades... As I've seen on this forum, people are familiar with this, so there should be a solution for non working eyebrows...

That then begs the question, do the likes of e-maps and DMS use the NEW ECU map and modify certain key tables only or do they just blast their "stock remap" back over it.

ABC
I can speak from experience here. The first time when I went to DMS my car was stock so they simply blasted their new map into the ECU. However after a CIP upgrade that map got overwritten. The next time I took it to DMS the process took very long because they didn't just blast their map back in but instead pulled out the BMW map to check all the changed parameters and then apparently altered their map to give me best of both. Useful for someone to know this.

Hmmmm... "Stock" must be a particular CIP/Progman release then... and for, the money, why the hell didn't DMS come to you?

Either that or "earlier than" a particular one

That's getting a bit philosphical. I have no idea what you mean!

Are you saying that "stock" could refer to a "range" of Progman/CIP versions? If not then it's a particular one, innit? No matter how much "earlier than" it is.

Good job is when the service manager is sort of a buddy, if they have no loaners, he usually gives me his car, which at the moment is a 3 coupe.
here they need to upgrade mine so also sw and remap again

you get 1er 120d 118i and you must pay 50? per day!!!

Same here. I've just managed to get a 100% compatible phone that I am happy with, and I do not want the upgrade if it will spoil this advantage

Don't you have your car booked in for TWO Progman sessions over the next few days?

Hopefully you get what you want. But it's out of your control unless you cancel your bookings.

That's true, my CA said that even they have no control over which progman is installed - as long as it fixes the problem the customer is complaining about. Will have to wait & see, hopefully 25.0 uses the same BT protocol as 24.XX
