As I mentioned in my original post, I used to have the display prior to loading Progman 25.01, except that it would say, "Measurement not possible at this time".

Now I can't even get the oil-level display. All I have is the screen that shows how many miles to go before an oil-change.
You may have had the display but it was meaningless in your build date/engine combo. I am not sure when you actually started seeing it (at delivery or later upgrade) but the actual use of this started with the 4.8L engine introduction for V8s and not sure of build date for I6 engines. They may simply have corrected the error of their ways for your engine.

Tachyon: Do you have 25.01 loaded? If not, can someone with 25.01 check and see if they can get to the oil-level display??
Yes, I have the updated software. I don't know how to confirm that it is 25.01 exactly, but I have all the new software goodies with the upgrade.

Maybe there is a difference between 545 and 550 as Cobradav suggests?

Based on what cobradav is saying, this could be a difference between the 545 and 550. I just wished they hadn't teased me with a fake display before turning this off for the 545.

I wonder if there is anyone with a 545 that is seeing this display?

Does anyone know of any differences between 25.01 and 25.04? My dealer said they only have 25.01.

I want to get the upgrade, but am concerned about the i-Drive reboot issue that people have been complaining about.

It is not 25.04, it is 25.00.04. 25.01 is later release than 25.00.04. They may have a 25.01.01 but not a big deal that I am aware of. You do want a 25.01 or later.
