Just picked up my new motor this morning and it has come with a 2006-2 Navi DVD, I would have thought 2007-1 would be out now, I think it was a week 20 build.
What did yours come with????

the 2007-01 came out Nov 06, i think 2007-02 should be out.
2006-02 is faulty anyway,( no postcode search) and your dealer will replace it under warranty.

I had mine swapped to 2007-01 under warranty over 3 months ago. It seems improbable that Bmw are shipping june 07 cars with discs that are 2 versions old.
Call me a cynic but it could be that someone at the dealer0 has taken your new disc and swapped it for a 2006 02 as a favour for a "friend". I hope the dealership has a good explanation. Politely request a 20007-02 !

Thanks Guys,
I spoke to the dealer yesterday and a new DVD is on its way, they are ordered by the dealer and put in the cars during PDI so plently of scope for the wrong disc to be issued!!

According to Navteq. The -1 and -2 are the EXACT same disk. The 200X-1/200X-2 designation is to denote the disk's production run. The navigation disk gets updated only ONCE a year at the beginning of the "year".

Not only did the UK postcode search disappear between 06-1 and 06-2 only to reappear in 07-1 on, but also the data size with EACH release has varied.
I base this on experience of 06-1, 06-2, 07-1, 07-2.
BTW The Navteq site doesn't offer the Europe Professional DVD (which is the subject of this thread).
