So I got the compatiblity done but when I burned a Memorex CD-RW in MP3 format, it doesn't play a few songs. So I decided to see if the burn went wrong, checked it on my home stereo and everything worked fine. I tried the CD again, and a few of the songs that didn't work before, started working but other songs that had worked before, stopped working. Does anybody know what's going on? Should I get the software re-installed by BMW? Is there a simpler way of fixing this problem?

 

Home CD players are more forgiving ... I suggest you try a reburn but at a slower write speed.

 

+1 that's what I'd do. Go with the slowest setting and sound quality actually improves.

if you have nav, try the dvd drive, it should play there.
