this has been an ongoing issue that I still havnt resolved.

car is a 2010 520d e61 touring

Cold start was a bit rough, coder reader said glow plugs 1 and 2 were open circuit. I replaced all 4 glow plugs then the car was even rougher starting with a lot of white smoke. Code reader now said module missing and a few other module fault codes. From advice I was advised to now replace the module which I have with a Beru controller.

the problem now is that is still starts just as rough as with no glow plugs but all fault codes have cleared. I’ve been driving it for a few days now and cold start is rough and lots of white smoke as if no glow plugs but no fault codes at all.

all plugged in and fuse good. Really don’t understand what’s happened here as new Bosch plugs and beru controller now fitted and no fault codes.

any advice?
