Hello all. So, I just got back from my car wash and noticed two deep scratches in my from rim where they push it through the tracks. Didnt notice till i got home!

F*&K !!!!

Is it worth even calling since ive left the place. Also, how much do you think this will cost to fix?

Thanks for your help

I'd drive over to the place and talk to the manager since you just left. Trying to describe the damage over the phone will be futile.

Probably looking at $100 to repair AFAIK. GL.

bring it to the manager immediately and be calm and cool about it. Ask him what he wants to do about the situation. He cant claim that they arent responsible for it because its a bigger wheel. Its oem

Never take your car to a racked wash again man

btw a refinish would cost $100-$200

I think you may be screwed.. You could try and have pay for the repairs. I'm sure they have someone that comes out to fix all of the wheels they damage.... For future reference, I'd reccomend having your car washed "offline". Those tracks cause nothing but havoc on wheels "especially aftermarket wheels". But if you do decide to wash your car on the line, watch them as they drive it onto the track. that's where 95% of damage occurs. And don't be afraid to tell them to "BE FREAKIN CAREFUL!!!!" GL

Just got back. The manager seemed understanding but only became convinced after we lined up the car (and the scratches) with the track....right on the money. After he saw rhat he asked me to get an estimate and they would either reimburse me or give me services in place of the money (detail, polsih, etc).

I'll keep you all posted.

I will say that I have been using these gus for years and several cars and have never had a problem.

thx all for listening

Sorry to read about this nikko64, makes one mad.

Get them to pay for it!

For this and other reasons I have my car washed by hand, only.

Well, they did the best they could to make things right. Sounds like you handled things very well. Once it's repaired, you'll never know the difference--the guys who do that are really talented. Glad to hear it worked out--that's a company I would patronize, just maybe for other services.
