Hi Folks,
I am very glad i didnt pay over ?2000 for the sat nav cause its slow and crap. Anyway, now my dvd has just went dead and all that come on screen is dvd read error. Tried an older disc and its the same. Now the disc wont even eject.
Has anybody had to change there dvd drive?
As far as i can see if the dvd is broken it would require replacing the cd drive as well.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

I have a suspect disc, but I know the dealer estimated over a grand for the drive which I think is absolutely stupid, im pretty sure if you can find out what kind of drive it is its probably a Matsushita industries type OEM unit which can be bought for pennies, its only a DVD after all.

That sucks large style.............
I can see in years to come poeple just losing the entire BMW setup and utilising that central screen space for a custom setup which is more affordable and flexible to use ( when the cars get into that 10yr old and cheap to buy cycle )
