Whilst navigating today I wanted to find a place to eat halfway along the journey i.e. places of interest on location but could not find the option. I'm sure when I had Bus Nav you could hit a button that said "On location" rather than "On Destination".
Cant see how to do it on Pro Nav, I've read the manual but it doesn't mention it.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, I'll edit this as I'm not answering your question at all!!!
Go to ---> New Destination
Then --> Information
Then you get a prompt: On "Location", or "Destination"

Thanks for that
After posting the topic I went and sat in the car to see if I could figure it out and found it under info. in the new dest. screen as you quite rightly say.
Maybe its just me but it seems to be a little hidden.

Hi merklebob,
If you just go to New destination, then get Information (e.g. on rest stops), then go back to the map without actually specifying a destination, the symbols will be displayed for you all the time (until you switch off the engine).
You need to be on 5 mile scale or less to see the symbols though.

Does BMW actually publish a flippin manual for the Navigation system.
I got a booklet, but it had one page of info and many pages of disclaimers.
All of these features (like how to show rest stations on the map) should be documented, rather than us all try to find them out - like some cheap game "cheats"
Surely there should be a manual up on the BMW internet site ?
