Hi everyone, how much money is spent on monthly or yearly expenses (oil changes, brakes, any regular maintenance) on a BMW 5 series?

About the same as any other foreign European car...

If you get/have one under warranty, it covers most maintenance cost.

I see you are in NYC, most you have to worry about is the shocks due to the bad roads here.

Other than that aftermarket parts such as brakes, pads, rotors and oil change can be done by an independent mechanic which will cost far less then getting an e60 serviced at the dealership.

If you ever need any service done I would recommend you go to John@Motorcepts...he is based in Queens.

BTW, Welcome to the forum

Still under mfg warranty and all scheduled maint covered = $0 in 2 years of ownership. But da MOD fund is another story...

Judging from your title you own a AMG...so I think you should have nothing to worry about. And IMO it depends on the type of 5 series. The V8 5 series are prone to more problems then the I6 5 series which are very reliable IMO.
