Red face Power Steering Pump Removal

I have a 2007 550i. I am replacing alternator bracket seal and now I'm on the power steering pump. There is a large hose that looks like a vacuum line, can that be removed or is it flexible enough to move on the pump. Can any one point me to a DIY for this.

My Ride: BMW 530xi Wagon
Default Power steering pump

I have a 530xi Wagon (I think this is an "E61"). A repair shop states that the slight noise coming from my steering is due to a failing power steering pump. They quoted BMW dealer price on OEM pump replacement at $856.85, plus a reservoir replacement, plus fluid, plus 3 hour labor. Is this OEM pump for this vehicle the same as the LUK LF-30?
It seems like the online price on Ebay etc for this LF-30 might be around $370 .... is there any reason not to get this less expensive part & is it identical? Is it advisable to get replace certain hoses too ... such as a high pressure hose or a hose connecting the pump to the reservoir?
It appears that the "fluid" is Automatic Transmission Fluid. Any recommendations, or does it not make too much difference? Synthetic recommended? Valvoline Import ATF (blue bottle)? Castrol Multi Import Dexron/Mercon? Dex III (+)?
Plus I understand that a 4 piece aluminum bolt set is recommended to be purchased for the replacement repair. Anything else?
Oh, and what is the issue with "shearing of the impeller shaft" ... is this a common issue with the LF20 or the LF30?
How urgent is this repair if the noise coming from the steering is still relatively minor ... still get this repair done asap? Might it cause other damage if I do not get it done asap?

I can't speak to the interchangeability of those parts, but I will say that the correct fluid is NOT ATF4.

you should be using CHF11.S. Look at the cap your reservoir - it should have this on the sticker.
This is what I bought. This is what I bought.
