Possible Suspension Misalignment? - Pic Inside

I have a 2008 535i with premium package. Running at around 36,000 miles. I just bought it used not too long ago and it's been in and out of the dealer quite a few times for some kinks.

The other day I noticed a weird noise and a lot of vibration at 60-80MPH. The tire shop said the back 2 tires were bald and needed replacement. Sure enough we popped off the 2 tires and look what we found...

The BACK LEFT tire was completely worn on the inside. This is the ONLY tire on the car that was worn out like this. Is it possible my suspension is misaligned?

I have CPO Extended warranty for another year, is this something that is covered if there is an issue?

You can tell the inside of the tire is very worn out.

Based on my personal experience I would suggest that you take the car to the BMW Service. They have excellent alignment facilities and training. Withour repair parts - about $290.00?

I would suggest that the left rear wheel has at least 2 to 2.5 dg of positive camber. In looking at the tire, I wonder why the area of excess wear is not uniform all the way around the circumference as mine was rather than a patch of it. possibly a bad tire???

The rear tires will do this quicker due to the aggressive angle; however, I haven’t seen it only in a particular area like this. The tire could have had other damage to cause it to wear in that area quicker.
Most likely they will say do an alignment and check for any suspension damage (which I doubt there would be any).

+1, they camber is set a certain way that can cause more wear on the inside, but in your case I bet you have a simple alignment problem. I had the same and took car to someone who knows what they are doing and had it corrected. Be aware of the high schooler's and job hopper at a lot of these cheaper tire stores...
