I recently noticed that on acceleration with the rpm at a constant 2K - 2.5K, my air condition momentarily stops working. Air blows as normal, but I could smell that sense when you turn off the A/C (snow icon) button. Visually, everything is normal, no flashing light, etc.
Has anyone experience this and eventually lead to a problem that was diagnosted?

Most late model ac systems in any car will shut off during acceleration. This is to give you the most power to the wheels as possible. It also prevent the ac compressor from locking up and damaging itself. Once the throttle backs off the ac resumes.

Thats at wide open throttle(WOT) though with your foot to the floor not a constant 2.5k rpm.

We just had to have an "ambient air sensor" and the compressor replaced on our car.
AC woudl freeze you out, as long as the car was moving. But, if you were in stop and go traffic (rush hour), sitting at a red light, or parked- the car would heat up almost instantly. $2,300 later (Glad we got the warranty) the AC is so cold (and I love AC), I usually have the vent on the 1st or 2nd notch, and it still gets cold.
The starter motor replacement was $1,300- but that's another story.
Total repair cost, $3,600- and we were without the car 16 days.

I'm not an expert at A/C systems but I think something as simple as a low refrigerant charge could cause the compressor to shut down under certain circumstances.
Bottom line -- it's not supposed to do that. I'd have the system checked for leaks see if the charge is where it's supposed to be...

Thanks, everyone. Years ago, when I had a 96 Maxima, the AC cool would cut off after 80-85 mph. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to get it checked out. I'll have the dealer look at the AC system once it happens more frequently.
I was not aware that the e60's AC cool cuts out on hard acceleration. I shut it down before hard acceleration most if not all the time.
