Question Is it Possible to add Steering Wheel/w/Paddle Shifters??

ok so I have a 04 525i with an automatic transmission, currently I have the version with the shiftgate, I believe it is called, next to the shifter and when the car is in D moving it over to the left puts the car into DS then clicking the shifter up or down puts the car into manuel mode M1,M2,M3....etc.. letting me shift using the shifter. I found a 530 or 535 im unsure which that's been wrecked so the guy is letting go of some of the parts, one thing he has that im interested in is the whole steering wheel with paddle shifters attached but before getting it I want to know if its possible to make the shifters work with my car an if so what would it take to make them work? if it is not possible to make the shifters work would it at least be possible to use the steering wheel while leaving the shifters attached for looks? the 530 is a 06-08 no newer for sure.

I do not have the answer for your question, but I have seen that m3 steering wheel for the 6th generation and I liked it alot.

ok thanks for the info, ill go check there, im just trying to update my e60 as much as I can since its an 04 its way behind lol, im hoping to eventually even go from the normal shift knob to the lcd one that comes on the newer ones because I like how it looks, I woulda went with a nerwer bmw but there was no way I was going to find one with less than 120k miles on it an in as good as condition as this 14 year old car is lol. does anyone got anything I should look at replacing just due to wear from age? from what I can tell yhe car has yet to really be worked on at all besides the normal maintence.
