that why I spend $100us every 3 months to get it polish buy the pros. so that it will be like new from show room
but I have stone chips on the paint and this will happen to any car even a nice Enzo ferrari.
Yup i do it too. I do it myself every half a year, but big stone chips cannot be repaired even with touch up, polish, and wax.

I have a 2005 BMW 525i and I think the paint job on these cars is absolutely crap. It's so easy to scratch the paint even if you are really careful when you wash the car by hand. It's really annoying especially when you pay a great deal of money for the car. I heard that the clear coat on the metallic paints is really thin and this is the main problem. I was wondering whether anybody has got their car repainted on the factory warranty. I live in Norway and would interested in hearing about similar cases. Thanks in advance.

Only a solution : PERMAGARD
?5-600e in Cannes .

Have no experience with the E60.. but my E39 was a poor paint job. Just leaving a mud spec on it in the sun and trying to prime it off after a few hours really messes up the paint job, despite all precautions and microfibre towels.
you are very lucky, but luck runs out some day, no 1 can avoild stone chips unless you get the clearbra which I will get on my next new car

I don't much about car paint, so please bear with me. If I get my car repainted in the same colour (carbon black) from a spray shop, will that paint have better quality than BMW's??
I have heard I will able to get more layers of clear coat. Is this true?
