A good shop will buy a replacement fender and cut out the section needed to patch..its clean, little filler and you dont lose the stock lines. Its the longer way but well worth the time

fender is the top front side panel from your headlight to the door.
Bumper is just front and rear part not the side.
Mine got hit rear bumper and rear quarter panel
