What do you mean "an aftermarket wheel, made to OEM" then you have an option saying OEM is OEM under that.

Aftermarket is not Original Equipment Manufacture. so that statement doesnt work.

I should have been more specific, but I hope people figured out what my intentions were.

An aftermarket wheel made to OEM specifications.

I hope you pass your exam as E60 Forums is full of educated and nice talents!!! very also ***** modest but of course as we drive the best sedan on Earth BMW E60!

I luv BBS, most of the oems are they. BUT as I want 20"s at least the aftermarket.

Aftermarket you have some very good quality also for track use, some we never heared of...

some are for show. (Iforge, DPE, HER) no offence but it is true, I luv them all on E60s but they wud not be tough enough for a hard day So each his own style and size and color, of course also for rimz "size does matter"

BBS presumably makes to OEM specs. Indeed, BBS makes BMW wheels. Others can make to BMW specs too if they try. Do they try? Who knows? Are BMW wheels made to BMW specs? Who knows? I hope my comments have cleared things up.

OEM rims aren't that great compared to the best aftermarket rims (ie. BBS, OZ, etc). OEM are too heavy and prone to bends/cracks as documented on this board. OEM rims are also not forged.

For example, BBS makes the OEM BMW wheels, but they also have "aftermarket" forged wheels that exceed BMW's quality.

Chrome rims are not for ricer crowd. They are for the hiphop crowd.

You forgot to place on the poll the 172's and 135's which are one of the best OEM styles, in my opinion

Nick
Agreed, and while I don't have any problem with chrome in general, not for me...

I'm surprised to see so many people willing to rely on replica wheels.
Maybe I should look into it?
