My Ride: 2006 525xi
Play in the front drive shaft at the transfer case.
2006 525xi with 230k kms(143k miles)
While changing oil,i removed lower plastic underbody panel just to inspect and found that there is a play of about 1-2mm up and down in the direction of arrow as shown in the attached picture.
Could it be play in the splines or bearing?There is no play in the universal joint and also there is no play on the front side of the shaft where its attached to the front differential.
Is it normal or safe if its just play in the splines?
