I actually like the color a lot!
This all that really matters, isn't it? It's a great looking car! Color is a such a personal choice...

Nice!

I have Stratus Gray. Depending on the sun-angle it has a gray-blue-ish shine or a gray-brown-ish shine.

First time I saw that color in person was at the VDC last weekend. Under the bright fluorescent shop lights it looked very nice. A bit "neutral" but the metallic sheen was very evident. It resembles the "Savannah" my wife selected for her Rav4. Not beige - not gold ... nice and complemented by a local artist's personalization with painted pinstripes and initialing.

Well, I have to say that I'm sick of Silver and felt like this time around I needed a change.

I recently ordered Platinum Bronze/Natural Brown without seeing a car either at the dealer, or in the street...

I've now seen around a half a dozen cars on the road, only 2 of them 5-Series, the rest were 3ers and I have mixed feelings.

Will it look dirty?
It seems to shine in the sunlight...
At least it's not silver!

Perhaps as BMW have chosen this as the colour for the "exclusive" version then it can't be all bad - can it?
What I know for sure is that your pictures look just great and so that gives me some comfort that I did choose a good colour.

I'll know for sure on May 28th
I have the same color combo, rather unique by me. June '07 was the first month build for the PB color on the 5er, so I got mine sight unseen too. I still love it. Doesn't show the dirt.

Nice color and yes it does look very classy with the chrome trim. Take some pictures on a sunny day for us please

OK, but I just drove 50 miles on the highway and now the front is all covered with bug splat. Gotta clean it up a little before taking more pictures.

Default Best metallic paint ever!

My 2007 328ci has the platinum bronze metallic paint. I have to say that the 'look' and quality of this metallic paint has held up well over the years. To chime in on this thread about the unique platinum bronze color combo: 'Platinum' is for the times the car takes on a silver tone (night time/ cloudy days) and bronze represents the gold hue the it takes on during sunny days! It's a two-tone paint job! It's like owning two equally amazing sports cars!
