Well, you know the other thing I have noticed is that the plastic lense covers over the headlights are just as pitted. I don't notice it unless it's a bit dark and the lights are on. I also have several small rock chips on my windshield......it's to be expected that with a large windshield like that it wouldn't be unheard of to get hit once in a while, but I've had the car for a year, and less than 12k miles, and I have about 5 or 6 small chips. Just seems excessive in the time period, and compared to my other vehicles.
I have pits in my windshield, and headlights, and foglights... IS THERE ANYWAY TO FIX IT? Or at least make them less noticable?

Headlights and fogs can be sanded and buffed to like new condition. Try "The Google" on the forum and search.

Good luck...here in Cali it's just part of life. The worst part is the small sand (that you generally can't even see) being kicked up buy the car/truck in front of you that sandblasts your windshield, fog and headlight lenses... These days many more cars come with sticky and wider rubber and I think that really helps contribute to the problem. Ironically, the E60 is one of the few cars that pretty well shields cars behind us...check our our rear clearence ares compared to most other cars. I have 1300 miles on my car now and it looks like the condition of a 15K or 20K miles car...just makes me sick...but even if you can fix/polish the areas...it'll just be back. I'm resigning myself to the fact that I purchased this car to drive and I'm going to have to live with a pitted windshield, light lenses and front end paint......sigh!
