I've had a bit of a look round but can't find anyone who's distributing one of these at the moment.

I would seriously consider it as doesn't look too great as it is.

I think BMW have gone for that shape and size of pipe so they don't have to tool up and re manufacture the rear valance which would normally accomodate the twin pipes.

If anyone knows of an aftermarket trim please let me know.

I have spent many hours looking for a company that can provide one incl. BMW and have come to the conclusion that you can't buy one. The size needs to be 11cm x 6.8cm. My current plan is to purchase one from ebay and saw off the narrow section and then put a screw through the tip into the exhaust pipe to hold or spot weld it. Still not sure though.

Car looks lovely.

I have tomtom as well, but mine is on a PDA.

I have it in roughly the same spot as you, but on a proclip non damaging bracket that clips around the wood trim on the fasic just below the idrive.

Had the car three weeks now but its the first chance I have had to wash it off so I have taken the opportunity to take some photo's

Love the car and it gets a lot of admiring glances.

Also, didn't go for Sat Nav but my Tom Tom sits really neatly next to the IDrive screen so I'm really pleased with that.

Hope you like it.
Hi mate nice car I have TT and I luv it better than others but how did you put it in/on the Idrive screen??? Thx ats.

The Tom Tom 300 is just the right size to sit neatly on the rubberised shelf below the Idrive screen. If you were concerned that it would move I guess you could just mount it using a square of adhesive backed velcro but so far I don't see the need.

YES! Second best color for the E60! And perfect with the M-Aero kit. I almost got that color but I could not get the Auburn interior with a Silver car.

The only "drawback" from the TomTom is that it is not integrated, but you will like it MUCH better than the NAV from BMW. I have NAV in mine and I have a TomTom for my other cars and I absolutely like the TomTom better. It was a third of the price and I can move it - even if I'm out walking or on a bike - it allows you to set walking/biking routes only.

It is sad that BMW charges so much for such a primitive, unfriendly navigation system. I only ordered it because I wanted the integrated device. If I could go back I would not order NAV and use my TT instead. I do like the HUD display when you have the NAV in the car - its only redeeming feature.

My TomTom does everything better than the BMW system. It has speed-dependent volume, you can have bluetooth, traffic updates, 30 languages, many voices to chose from a kick-ass "keyboard" - numbers, upper/lower case, european characters, symbols, etc., etc.

About mounting - don't you have the windshield mount? The only thing I don't like about it is the glare - it is NOT glare proof like they say so I have been mounting it way up on the windshield right of the rearview mirror and it fits perfectly. It is always out of the sun and it's right there for a quick glance. If it's fully charged you don't even have to have it plugged in so there's no cord dangling for 3 or 4 hours.

What color is your interior?

Regards,

Santiago
