Really like the wheels. I had only seen them on the BMW configurator. What type of tyres did it come with, and is the combination of 19in and Sport suspension twitchy ? or does the non-runflat nature cancel it out. I personally think this is the most sorted look I have seen for an E60, well done. More pics would be great !!!

It makes it a different car without those aweful run-flats - much better ride and much less twitchy.
It came with continentals - biggies and the back and slightly less biggies at the front.
I would say that the extra for the wheels is one of the most important things to tick on the spec list.

Very nice car. I have the same but in Silver Grey. A word of warning - watch those wheels on kerbs. I have done mine twice now. Only a slight touch will nail them.

I was lusting after pics of your car before mine arrived - 535D's with 172 wheels are a rare beast at the mo - only seen one other car with them on - a 530D.
They look like they will damage easily as they dont have any rim protectors and the spokes kind of stick out. I have a terrible case of curb-fright at the moment, but its just a matter of time
I am not sure how easy they are to repair either as they have a high shine finish to them....
Soon to be booked for DMS......the performance is astonishing now, so heaven knows what its going to be like when they have tinkered!
Oh and thanks for the words of welcome guys.

My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
In the BMW "Individual" brochure there is an option for a gang plank to cover the 3 foot gap between car and curb which is a pre requisite for all alloy wheel lovers
Managed to keep mine to a minimum in the 4 years ive had it, but seems a fact of life. Love the 172's, like you Mervs were the lusting point for me also, in the end though I'm going for a second set of wheels to be used in the summer, my 18's and RFs will be for winter..enjoy
