The day has finally come! Picking up the 545 this afternoon. Hope it stops raining...

BMW will try and sell me the perma-plate protection for paint and leather, which I had on the last car, the paint and leather both held up very well. Not sure if it was the perma plate or my maintenance of the car.

What are opinions on perma plate or like products.

Will post pictures soon.

Do a search on paint protection. There was a thread on that yesterday and the consensus is that it is not worth it, and in your titanium gray (darker color), swirl marks may show under certain lighting conditions AFTER they apply the protection.

Sorry guys if the perma plate discussion has already been done.

This has been the coldest wettest winter since I have lived here - 15 years.

Thanks for the offer beewang. Looks like pep-boys and a tub-o turtle wax.

Buy a 16 oz. bottle of RejeX for $13.95 and do it yourself for great protection and big savings.
