My Ride: 2008 535xi with spot package, comfort access, HUD, Nav
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Originally I was looking for an e61 but ended up with an e60 08 535xi. Unfortunately I had to get an auto since both my wife and I will be driving the car. We got rid of her 2014 Grand Cherokee and my 1990 240sx for this car.
The car is Platingrau Metallic and only has 62k miles on it. All the services were done at a BMW dealer and after calling the service department I found out the HPFP was replaced in 2011 and the Water pump was replaced at 43k.
The car is an has the sport package, comfort access, heated front seats, heated steering, headlight washers (but not the rest of the cold weather package), Nav, HUD, USB/Audio interface, the lighting package, and voice interface. I absolutely love the comfort seats.
Plans for the car are to do the sport button addition, catch can, MHD flash, and Burger DCI in the next month or so. After that I will probably do the FMIC upgrade and turbo upgrade once the stock turbos go out. I will also upgrade the suspension once it needs to be replaced.
Any advice on what else I should do to the car is welcome. I am moving into an apartment next week but will have access to the garage at the house I am selling until June so I am hoping to take care of any DIY preventative maintenance before then.

Congratulations on the new acquisition...........PHOTOS ![Please](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/please.gif)
As you get ready to tune it, make sure you change the spark plugs, very easy and quick job.

I will try to get some pics soon. The weather in Denver has been pretty crappy lately so I want to make sure the car is washed and looking good for pictures.
I will make sure to change the plugs before installing the tune. Should I go with the stock plugs, Bosch ZGR6STE2, or something different?

I was able to was the car today and get a few pics. I also ordered 6 new spark plugs to install when I do the MHD tune. If I want to run e85 is there anything else I should do since I have read conflicting things. Some people state it is fine to run it with just a tune and others say that an upgraded LPFP should be installed.

Nice pickup. If you want to run more then a e30 blend of fuel you will need to upgrade your LPFP. Otherwise just get a e30 map from mhd and you should be fine with the stock LPFP.

Bosch plugs will do just fine for the standard tunes. You don't need anything else unless you're pushing 450+ HP and the wheels like Evan (ucsbwsr)

Thanks for all the responses. I am excited about getting this car and having a lot of fun driving it as is. I just got the cables for the MHD tune so I am hoping to install that this week, after I pick up a battery tender.
I will probably hold off on the LPFP and e85 for now. I definitely will do it in the future since the e85 is about $1/gallon cheaper then premium so the LPFP will pay for itself after ~400 gallons of gas.
