March 26, 2008 - I got my front bumper painted by a BMW dealer to repair the scratch from hitting unusually high curb. It was not my fault that I hit the curb, the curb was unusually high...

September 30, 2008 - I hit a big piece of plastic (looked like a car bumper) on freeway. It was not my fault that I hit this stupid bumper flying around in the middle of freeway, because there were cars on both left and right side of me. And the car in front of me ran over the bumper first and many shattered pieces of plastics were flying towards me...

LOL I don't like to admit anything. Maybe the truth is...I am just a bad driver.
If you look at the pictures, you can tell the paints are coming up and peeling off.
That is not suppose to happen??? My front bumper paints are coming up and peeling off, because BMW dealership used very cheap paint method when they painted my bumper back in March?
I am planning to get repainted again, can anybody recommend a quality paint shop in Los Angeles/Orange County area?

Also I hit a standing trash can on my friend's drive way and I got this ugly bump. Is there a way to pop this without damaging the paint?

Crevier BMW uses and recommends Hi Tech Collision. I've had them paint a few items and everything is factory-like. They have a few locations in Orange and LA counties. Best of luck.

Hi Tech

Dear soliterry,

The bump in the trunk is bad, but there are ways to get it fixed without painting,
but the front bumper needs to be painted all the way.

I don't know about LA BMW services, but consult them and find out where to take your car.

Remember that the cheapest isn't always the best!

For the trunk you might want to try the paint less dent removal.

As for the paint peeling off the bumper, I think it was poor prep - not poor paint! Take it back and tell them to do it correctly.

The paint is peeling because the surface was not properly prepared; the surface was either dirty or too slippery, that is, it was not sanded to give the surface a profile for the new paint to "grab onto." Hitting some debris on the highway should not have caused the paint to peel off like that.
