Hello,
maybe some additional price information on black piano interior trim. In Germany, You can order it (like most extras) individually, without package. It costs 1.080 EUR (approx. 1.300 USD) upgrading from standard trim, and 580 EUR (700 USD) upgrading standard wooden trim in the V8s. For the same price, You can get other (wooden) BMW Individual trims, too. Ordering standard trim and changing it, using replacement parts, is even more expensive over here (approx. 1500-1800 EUR).

The Piona black trim is alot of money to retrofit.

$197 for one door strip, compared to the regular wood at just over $100 it is quite a jump.
And with the centre cover round the gear lever costing $475 in regular wood I would hate to guess how much the Piano black is!!
I called my dealer to see about ordering the Piano black and he said it was only available if you had an M5 that had originally been ordered with it or if you had originally ordered it with the individual package.
I know someone on www.bm3w.co.uk had ordered it through another member on the board, don't know how much though.
Is it a wood finish or what?? I can't tell from the photos of it.

My Ride: #1: 2004 545i; 6-speed manual; Sport Package; Mystic Blue with a gray leather interior and Anthracite wood; CWP; Logic 7.
#2: 2010 535xi Touring; Automatic.
That is beautiful trim! I have the dark gray (anthracite) wood, but the piano black would look great with black or gray colors.

thanks for the info. My dealer quotes different prices , around 1240 for replacement parts with free labour... so depends which one is better value
