Perplexed re Active Exhaust
I have been searching for hours on the net looking for information regarding the Active Exhaust system on MY 2010 550i M Sport.
The problem is that it does not exist on my car. In the trunk, there is no indication of a vacuum control valve, vacuum hose or wiring to indicate that it was ever there.
The muffler system is the original system. There is no valve or fittings for a valve on the unit.
I have researched "Realoem" for pre and post 550's. Present, pre and beyond 550i Msport all indicate that the active system should be there.
Is there anyone out there that might have a suggestion or an answer to the issue?? Is there anyone on this site who owns a MY 2010 550i M Sport?
Humble and frustrated JR

Msports dont have that valve in the exhaust. The only thing it does in the V8 is lower its sound. In the BMW brochure the Msport has a "Throatier" Exhaust, in non marketing words "same manifold without a valve "
