If you are getting misfires or other reported problems then replace them I think but if there are no problems I don't think I would change them on mine.

135k on the OEM coils? You beat me!
I've had two go out on me. One at around 84k another at 87k. Still have 4 of the OEM coils at 89k. I bought the complete set but didn't feel like doing them all so I just carry a coil and a torx bit/ratchet in the trunk in case one goes out on the road. lol
Yours may be on their way out soon but its kinda hard to tell since its an electrical component, a non wearable component, and its either 100% good or 100% bad.
I think BMW recommends to replace them at 100k with the spark plugs.

I have been very surprised at the condition of all the seals and components of the car. Exceptional, like the day they were put in. I had a small oil leak on one of the valve covers that i could smell occasionally so i decided to do a major overhaul of all the consumable items and common items that leak. I plan to keep the car for quite some time so don't mind putting some $$ into it. The engine is torn down to the block and not much else right now. The VCG's are such a pain but even worse is the alternator bracket. I have an extra vehicle so not a big deal to let her sit until i can get to everything.
