Thumbs up

at the rear of the E60 there are 4 sensors. stood behind car, facing boot (trunk) do sensors have numbers that BMW Service identify them by ? phoned dealer yesterday wondered if there is a particular location code they use, so you could simply say "sensor 3 on rear has a fault".

today, about the ninth time in last week, engage reverse, nothing behind car, all lights on pdc display corresponding to that sensor activate, down to the red bar. Without moving car, take key out/in of ignition seems to "reboot" it, all then fine again. sensor clean, free from dirt and wax.

not seeing any warning msgs in "Check Control". does BMW diag computer log extra data that doesn't display via "Check control" and is only visible to bmw service ?

hmm i *think* the service guy said they would order it and have to paint it themselves, have to confess at that point I was getting back in the car so didn't really hear what he said. When its done i will ask if they had to paint it or if it came like that from BMW AG. I know some parts can be ordered ready painted.

Did I read the MY2005 price list right when I concluded that PDC is going to be a standard feature? If so, wouldn't that amount to a price cut?

According to everything I have heard, the PDC is standard on the 545i, and optional on the 525i & 530i.($700)
