PDC probelm

Hi guys,
I have noticed this same anomally on mine. On certain occaisions the PDC infront of the vehicle just go off annoyingly without any obstruction. It makes parking with PDC sometimes untrustworthy. I've checked in most cases to find out if there is any sort of obstruction, water drips, insects, dust or any sort... but then in all cases nothing at all. Then I try tapping it just a little bit which results in it behaving ok.
My e39 PDC never was this problematic. I think it is the same sensors they are using. Is my particular sensor just giving up or what?

Sounds like a faulty sensor if it's happening a lot. I have had the car 15 months and I have noticed it only two or three times. It normally works flawlessly.
