I put the car in reverse and got the error displayed in the center console as well as the flashing PDC button.
Anyone experienced this? Is it a costly repair?

Thanks

I would check the connection to the sensors under the bumper...

I will do that, thanks.

I tapped on the censors, started the car and all is back to normal, PDC works even if I reverse. Sigh!

Has your problem returned since you "tapped" your sensors?

I'm having this same problem on the two middle rear sensors.

Light above button flashing

Tapping hasn't worked for me

Yes my problem returned, so it's intermittent. I will have to troubleshoot further, could be one or two sensors.

I'm also asking around, since I have the very same problem, I'll keep you in the loop.

Have you tried checking the connections to the sensors?

TBH .. sensor is failing .. will work on and off for a little while, and then eventually stop working altogether..
Sensor will require replacing .. easy enough to do .
