so I bought an e60 very recently and when i got it the chap told me his nephew thought the pdc's were buttons and several of them are recessed a few cm. one is completely inside the bumper - i think i can see its wiring harness but i dont have tiny enough fingers to get at it. any advice on getting these back in shape without pulling the bumpers? or do i pretty much have to pull the bumper off to get enough force on these tiny little things to make them flush again?
...damn kid, i mmean i can understand the interest in the car but jeez.

Sorry to hear. The kid must have pressed the PDC's pretty hard.

if anyone has this issue in the future i had luck actually reaching the PDC sensors on the front bumper without really removing anything major - the 2 in the front middle are easily accessible if you take out the grill pieces and the ones on the edges are actually reachable (i did scrape my arm but no blood) if you take off the bottom 3 screws from the trim piece that wraps around the inside of the wheel well, i was able to seat the PDC sensor back into place and push it flush with the bumper and then put those 3 screws back in place - took about 5 minutes tops

IF u are going to take the bumper apart, you might want to slap some JB weld around the rest of them. JB weld is easily removed. Just a thought!!!!
