Good when used with the visual display
Not so keen on the dipping mirror. Seems to dip too far down, even when the mirror is set quite high normally. I can only see the ground, and not whats behind me. Hence it gets switched off

PDC? Love it love it love it!! Without it, my car would be seriously messed up.. Just look at my parking space in my signature... hahahah I'm about 3 inches from the back wall and my front still sticks out a bit.

I've enjoyed this option in other cars, don't have it in this one. My wife dinged up my rides in the past, she needs it more than I do. If you rely on it completely? It may create a false sense of security. You really feel the difference when parking a car without it. It can save lives, that's for sure. I bet those parents who ran over their own kids in their own driveway wished they had it. Will we be asking ourselves this same question about self-parking systems like IPA, Lexus' Intelligent Park Assist? Our voice-activated cell phones call up our friends and family and we most likely don't remember half their numbers. Same with GPS, just plug it in and go, it's just too easy. I say ditch it, tilting mirror was neat at first, I disabled it.

I like my PDC but don't care much for the auto tilting side mirror
You know you can turn off the auto tilting feature? You just switch the little button used to select which mirror you are adjusting to the passenger side and it will not shift when backing up.

I sometimes use it at traffic lights to guage how close to my bumper the asshole behind me is.
I originally just thought it was a nice feature but had a loaner car last week without it and realised how much I missed it.

I do that to !!
just something to play with when you're waiting for the green light
couldn't mis it, VERY practial to park in very small spaces (try parking your car without it in Brussels or Antwerp, Bruges or other city centres in Belgium, even all over Europe ... )
maybe in USA not so necessary
