A good question. As soon as the beep is constant and you see the red there is about 15-20 cm left from my observation.

According to the manual the constant beep comes in at <30 cm.
And the red zone comes in a bit earlier or later than the beep..?

In practice, I quit moving before I as soon as any red shows. On parking lots, I stop in yellow, particularly on the corners. The center has more leeway.

There seems to be a little blind spot on the rear corners.. at least that is the impression I get when backing into slots. However it seems fully possible to watch the "blind spots" from the mirrors.

10 cms would be better for me.. We have a lot of small parkingplaces here and when it goes red it means stop to me and not another 20 cms to be honest..

It kills me pulling out of my garage. I have about 3 inches to spare total when backing out. Plus I have to pull in and back out in an angle.

I would love to do that too, but German parking lots are simply not big enough for a car big as the e60. So I have to go all the way to the red and then shortly after it, the BEEP !
