After removing the key press the headlight flasher. that will leave the lights on for the set time.

Cheers,

Kiran.

My pathway lighting works as soon as I lock the car with the remote!

I had the same problem after my software update. I think that I pushed the overhead lighting buttons until they were in the correct position and all of a sudden the pathway lighting started working again. give it a try :)

The "Follow Me Home" function i.e. pathway lighting is activated via the headlight flasher as mentioned after the engine has been turned off. This was the same as on my E46 320iSE and 325iSE. I was not aware of the remote activating this "follow me home" function. The remote will only activate the interior lighting as far as I know.

For US customers, does the headlight switch need to be in the 'A' position, or is it off, and pathway lighting works?

Thanks,

Sam

If you want to have it activated automatically when you turn your car off, and this is currently not working, then pay your dealer a visit because this function needs to be activated in car memory too (=hookup to dealer computer & change the appropriate car memory setting).
