Passenger Airbag System Malfunction

My Ride: 2005 545i Sports, Premium and dynamic packages
Just got off the phone with BMW NA, BMW was able to initially identify some faulty airbags and letters were sent out; however, NHTSA is in the process of finalizing the list for all 5 series (BMW NA does not have an official list and count for the 5 series yet). Most 5 series owners affected should receive their letters by the end of this begining of next.
I was prompted to contact them since I am getting the "Pass. restraint system" warning and it is not going away...BMW NA also advised me not to let anyone sit in the passenger seat until this problem is fixed.
Have most of you received this letter???

I received the letter last week and it simply stated that they would be extending the warranty on the front passenger seat occupant detection mat. 
It goes on to say pretty much the same thing.....no passenger until BMW has had a chance to inspect yadda yadda yadda....BTW I drive a 2005 545i, that according to the letter MAY BE part of this issue!

Got the letter...they are extending the time to get this done under warranty...... Recc we all do it as it is a major safety issue.... I wouldnt mind like my ex gf sitting in the passenger seat with the old mat, tho!!!

My car displays the warning on the overhead console intermittently when my daughter is in the passenger seat. She is 5'8" and about 110lbs. I enquired about the recall and they said my car was not part of the recall. It is an 05 545i with comfort seats.
