passenger airbag

ive noticed lately when I have a passenger driving shotgun, I see the Passenger Airbag off display turns on. I assume its supposed to be off when someone's sitting in it right?? does anyone else have this problem?

There was a sizeable thread on this a couple of weeks ago. You may want to Google it. If I recall correctly, it will require a trip to the dealer. GL
