Passenger adaptive headlight dead
Trying to source a replacement headlight complete for my 08 550i. It is a Xenon Adaptive headlight with dynamic auto leveling. It developed a crack when a piece of ice hit my front bumper. Because of the crack, it has caused it to collect moisture. Because of that moisture, first the adaptive motor control died. Now, the low / high bulb have died, leaving only the halos, turn signal, and running lights to work. Not in the position to spend over $1500+ for a new one, but I am looking for a good used one, just don't know where to start the search.
Thanks

You can try ebay Germany as well...i got two headlights with shipping and all for 713 Euros or so ($960).
ice in vegas??
the ballast and ahl module are on the bottom of the headlight, so if you got water in there, those modules are more than likely toast. so get a headlight and new ahl module and ballast.

I was taking my son to Knotts. On the I-15 to cali, had ice come off the top of a semi, about the size of a vinyl album cover and watched fly right into my bumper, in between the kidney and headlight. I'm guessing the force cracked the headlight assembly on the corner, though I can't see one. Gotta figure that's the reason once it rained (or used my headlight washers), caused water too penetrate the inside.
I'm sure I can replace the ahl and ballast, but it would be pointless, since those also would be destroyed.
Looking at ebay, boy those things are expensive, and they don't even come with a bulb or ballast.
