I was just curious if members on this forum would be interested in buying parts from a 528xi 2008. Car runs and drives PERFECTLY and everything intact, besides rear end (rear bumper damaged, trunk and fender were damaged in parking lot accident). I got the car cheap from craigslist, so i can repair or use it for parts for my other bmw's. Turns out my schedule got busy, so i rather part out instead of repairing minor damage. So i was just curious what members would want to buy or if i should forward the car to wreckers.

 

Why not sell the whole car? Parting out will take even more time out of your schedule. If the damage is as minor as you say, I'm sure you won't have that much trouble unloading it. If you got it cheap, you may even make a little on it.

 

I got the car for 4000$ (retail value here for the car is about 10k). Turns out the frame is slightly bent along with the other damage (repair would take much longer and call for professional work). Does anyone know how to get top dollar from the car (where to sell accidented cars)? At the moment I rather sell key components of the car to recover my 4k (sell airbags and major electroinics), if i cant get a good price on it. So whats my best bet of selling the whole car? Any help is greatly appreciated. (I live near Flint, Michigan)

 

Does the vehicle have a salvage title?

 

Pretty sure its clean. Clean title before accident, accident was reported (police and insurance) but no claim made.
