Parking lights won't turn off when engine is off and car locked

I bought a 2008 535xi. Now my parking lights won't turn off even after I turn the engine off and the light switch is in off position. Has anyone came across this issue and what was the fix for it?

is it by chance one side only? maybe you activated the park light feature. make sure turn signal is off.

No it's all the lights halo and tail lights are staying on. I check the park light on the turn signal that didn't turn it off. Also I notice the green light by the auto is not on either

Just to be clear, you have the light knob turned to the most counter clockwise position and you don't mess with that? That is the Auto position. I've also had my light knob pushed in. That is, the dial itself is pushed somewhat into the assembly and I've had to pull the dial out. I think I must have hit it with my knee or something. Not sure if that can have any ill affects.

I tried it in all positions. I even just tried just now to pull the knob out but it's not coming out.

The left picture is the dial pushed in and it isn't supposed to be like that. You have to grab the dial and yank it out to make it look like the right picture. I don't know if that's a real "mode" or has anything to do with your problem.

mines don't have that model switch. I'm not getting the green light next to it. I have replaced the switch and still the lights not turning ofb n the green light is not coming on I believe no power connection is going to the switch

The green light only comes on in with the switch in Auto position *and* the sensor decides it is dark enough to turn on the lights. It won't be green in Auto and daylight, for example.

Do the headlights come on in the full clockwise setting?
