Yesterday I went to Jack in the Box and park too close to the foot path and suddenly and unwelcome noise ring to my ears... It was the rubber part under the front bumper, the right side is tear open about 4-5 inches. What should I do..? Just remove the part or should i get a new one? Anyone know how much the price for that rubber piece is? I can feel the pain from my car even I'm asleep....

Not sure how much it cost, but deffinately don't go without one. If its the black cover underneath the front bumper, FYI my buddys was not installed after the body shop fixed his ride and moisture got up into the light housing and caused one of his headlights to give out. That side no more workie and called for "I think it was a new control unit".

mainly for aerodynamics more than anything. You can take the entire pannel out if wanted. I doubt you would notice any loss. Its best to get it replaced though, even piece to put on yourself.

I've grazed mine a couple times and I've only had the car for a few weeks. Makes me wonder how bad it will be once I lower the car

Mine is also quite new. Yesterday was my 2nd month anniversary for the car and that was his present ToT... I'll just wait for 2 or scrapes then I'll just change the whole thing. The rubber still hang on to the bumper just it looks ugly if you actually lay dwn and look at it. Otherwise, It is hard to notice.

I noticed the same thing after I bought my 545i w/ 49K miles on it, with the rubber flap torn about 3" on the side closest to the center of the car. I got some universal glue at Home Depot and just glued the damn thing back on, it's still holding up fine about 3 months later.

On a 2008 the part that carries the rubber in front of the wheel is 24 dollars at the dealer. If you have a screw driver you can fix it.
