How does park distance control work on a non-nav car? Does a picture of the cars still show up on the screen? Or is it just audible alerts?
Both in graphics and sound.

Love the rear function but without the front PDC I could live.

But leaves a 30 cm margin (some 12 inches), with is too much for my liking.

Has anyone added the aftermarket License plate mounted PDC? My car didn't come with PDC installed and I was wondering if this one works well enough to spend the money on it.

I'm referring to the one sold by BMW.

I'd like to know as well. I had a rear view camera in my M35x and now I got nothin' though I really do love my 528i.

PDC is a god send in narrow Seoul back streets with cars parked along the sides! I wonder how I ever drove without them!

I'm not even sure if they sell BMW's without PDC here! The parking spots are designed with a Datsun in mind and parking cars within that space requires skill PLUS PDC!!!

The past year I've bumped/scratched my front and rear even with PDC but got those painted/fixed for free when my insurance got renewed--thanks to my SA
